We are pleased to announce that the AUDITOR project has reached a second important milestone on the way to national approval.
After we successfully completed the technical review by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) in November 2020, we received positive feedback from the North Rhine-Westphalia State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (LDI NRW), as the responsible data protection supervisory authority, on Tuesday. The technical review of the AUDITOR criteria has been successfully carried out, pending the statement of the EDPB.
This second milestone is thus an excellent success for AUDITOR, which should also be celebrated appropriately.
However, for national approval, the EDPB statement still has to be initiated and passed. Following this, the LDI NRW and the DAkkS can complete the formal processes for AUDITOR’s approval.
In the meantime, we will prepare webinars for cloud providers and certification bodies, in which we will provide information about the current results of AUDITOR and thus enable the best possible preparation for future certifications and accreditations. More details on this will follow soon.
